Kal and Irina were interviewed earlier by Woodall's Campground Managementl in May about Seahaven readiness to re-open for short-term guests on May 8th, 2020. To read a full article please follow the link: https://woodallscm.com/park-owners-in-s-c-pa-welcome-campe…/
In North Carolina, Irina Yashkova and her husband, Kal Karmous, are preparing to hopefully open the 67-site Seahaven Marine RV Park on May 8, when the state’s stay-at-home order is set to be lifted.
The park attracts a mix of seasonal, transient and work campers and offers chartered fishing trips.
“We have established practices for operating during the coronavirus,” Yashkova explained. “We’re cleaning surfaces that are used by customers. We’ve removed all the tables and chairs from any public areas. The only picnic tables we have are on the lots and we can clean those before and after customers leave and arrive.”
The park also offers contactless package delivery for campers that have packages delivered to the park. With no bathhouse at the park, Yashkova noted that what seemed to be a disadvantage at one time is now an advantage.
“We don’t have too many things to manage, and all these sites we have are full hookups,” she explained. “Every single unit that comes on-site is independent and self-contained.”
Yashkova said anyone who camps at the park is signing a memorandum of understanding that highlights the park’s rules.
The park is also working with the charter boat companies to stagger the boats they bring in to take fishing groups out. Instead of two boats at a time, Yashkova is working to make sure they only bring one boat.
“It will decrease the number of people that are grouped together on the dock,” she noted. “We’re just making a conscious effort to separate people as much as possible and we’ll see how it works, and if we need to make any adjustments we will, but everybody has an understanding that it’s necessary this year.”
Still, Karmous said the park is eager to open as the impact on business has been significant.
“We haven’t been able to take in any short-term customers, so we have lost a ton of business,” he explained. “Hopefully, the order is lifted on May 8 and we can begin to implement all of the new procedures we have been working on.”

Good News! Seahaven Marine RV Park is opening to long-term guests (and only those that are on the Contract) are allowed to visit their property.
We implore you to abide by CDC guidelines (distancing, staying at home/site, sanitizing, etc.) for the safety of you and everyone around you.
We understand that you want to be at your home at the beach. PLEASE remember that your actions could PROVOKE more stringent ordinances impacting ALL, as we have seen in other Carolina campgrounds with lease sites.
We are also taking NEW reservations for 30+ days. Each long-term guest on the Contract will need to sign COVID-19 Memorandum of Understanding prior to coming to Seahaven Marine RV Park. No outside visitors (who are not on the contract) are allowed until further notice. NC Executive Order 121 is still in effect, currently till May 8th, 2020.
The Memorandum has been sent to all existing long-term guests. Each adult on the contract must sign it, then please scan it and return to info@seahavenmarinervpark.com. If you need a printed copy please contact the office and we’ll leave it for you in the overnight mail box.
The waterfront will be open to our long-term guests (no outside visitors) on a first-come, first-serve basis. We implore you to abide by CDC guidelines (distancing, staying at home/site, sanitizing, etc.) for the safety of you and everyone around you.
The Office will remain closed until further notice. As always we are available over the phone or e-mail.
Currently we are not taking short-term reservations (for 30 days or less) until NC Executive Order 121 expires. It has been extended till May 8th, 2020.
We are doing all that we can for the safety and well-being of our teammates, guests and our community. ALSO, we implore you to abide by physical distancing and all CDC guidelines for the safety of everyone. DO NOT congregate in groups of more than 3 (groups of family members are acceptable).
AMENITIES: Our goal is the safety and well-being of all and to abide by the CDC guidelines. Unfortunately, we had to remove the brand new picnic tables we added this year (we were so excited!) and benches from all the public areas. The whimsical bench at the dog park is also off limits due to COVID-19 safety concerns.
The fish cleaning station will be sanitized several times a day and by Charter Captains before and after each use.
[Note: Our Phone Lines will be VERY busy. We appreciate your patience. The Main Office will be open 9 AM – 5 PM daily. Physical access to the office will be closed]
Distancing:
All check-ins will be done remotely in order to comply with social distancing guidelines. Our biggest concern is the health and safety of our teammates and guests during this unprecedented time.

Should you decide to change your shelter-in-place residence location, you would not be allowed to come back to the Park once the Executive Order is in place. spread. We will miss our guests and look forward to the day we can resume normal operations.
