Things to do in the Area

Things to do around our area and Topsail Island (just 5 miles away from Seahaven Marine RV Park)
It perfect for year-round living or as a vacation home destination.
Those beautiful beaches
The most popular attraction on Topsail Island is, of course, the fabulous beaches. You’ll have many activities to choose from on any of the beaches, like Topsail Beach, including fishing, swimming, paddle boarding and surfing. Even in the height of summer, beaches aren’t crowded so you can enjoy some peace and quiet while you take in the beauty.
Wonderful wildlife
Topsail Island is home to four main species of sea turtles, including Leatherback, Loggerhead, Green and Ridley sea turtles. It’s the Loggerhead that prompted the establishment of the local Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center, which cares for sick and injured turtles and protects the egg sites so the turtles can safely hatch and thrive.
Because Topsail Island has not only beaches but also wetlands and undeveloped land, you’ll find seabirds, including terns, pelicans and ospreys. Keep an eye on the ocean and you may spot a whale, manatee or that tell-tale shark fin — and do watch for leaping dolphins.
Outdoor activities abound...
With seven golf courses available, a marina and the pier, you’ll find many ways to keep active outdoors. Fish off the Surf City pier, golf nine or 18 holes or go out on a party boat with friends and family. Rent a jet ski and zoom over the waves, take a sunset cruise or ride your bike all over the island.
...And so do indoor, cultural activities
There are many cultural activities to enjoy as well, including the Missiles and More Museum, where you’ll learn about the history of the island and its pirate origins. Find out all about the Women Airforce Service Pilots, or WASPs, the Osprey aircraft and the history of Camp Davis. Kids will love the Patio Playground or Shipwreck Point for putt-putt golf and everyone will enjoy the many art galleries and shops, featuring work by local artists.
If dining out is a big part of your entertainment, you’ll find many restaurants and bars offering everything from casual seafood fare to fine dining. Find wine stores, breweries, coffee shops, bakeries and more.
Everything you need is here
There are multiple grocery stores very close to the island for all your shopping needs; you can also stay local and shop at smaller markets on the island. You’ll find everything you need to enjoy with your freshly caught fish and picked produce. Explore the farmers market and many produce stands, too. Local hardware stores cover all your hardware needs, in addition to spas, hair salons, gyms, pet shops and more.
